Admission criteria for ATC:

o  Enrol for Common Proficiency Test (CPT) after passing Class 10 examination.
o  Pass 10+2 examination and CPT.

  • Enrol for Accounting Technician Course (ATC)
  • Successfully complete 9 months of Study Course

- ATC [ICAI] Curriculum –

Paper 1:Accounting (100 marks)

Paper 2: Law, Ethics and Communication

 Part I: Law (60 marks), Business Laws (30 marks)& Company Law (30 marks),

 Part II: Business Ethics (20 marks)

 Part III: Business Communication (20 marks)

Paper 3: Cost Accounting and Financial Management

 Part I: Cost accounting (50 marks)

 Part II: Financial Management (50 marks)

Paper 4: Taxation

 Part I: Income-tax (50 marks)

 Part II: Service Tax (25 marks) and VAT (25 marks)

Complete Information Technology Training (ITT) or Computer Training Programme

- Pass Group I of Integrated Professional Competence Examination (IPCE)
- Group I is composed of four papers
- Successfully complete one year work experience under a chartered
- accountant in practice or in industry
- Get ATC Certificate
- Designate as Accounting Technician


Enrol for PAC course including the following modules:

1. Complete Orientation Workshop of one week spanning over 35 hours and covering topics, including personality development, communication skills, office procedures, business environment, general commercial knowledge, etc.

2. Computerized accounting design, using one packaged software application [e.g Peachtree, Quick book], 2- 3 sessions

3. IFRS overview/basics - 5-6 sessions [this also forms part of Accounting & Auditing subjects of CPA]

4. Industry overview [any two electives] 5-6 sessions

The Industry electives will broadly cover:
A. Industry Operational Processes and Overview
B. Key Business Processes – from accounts/audit perspective
C. Internal Sontrols [in context of specific practice/role perspective]
D. Accounting Systems and Chart of Accounts
E. Significant Accounting Policies
F. Applicable IFRS,
G. Illustrative Financial Reporting & MIS [management information systems]
H. Critical Ratios and Key Performance Indicators

5. Communication & soft skills - 2-3 sessions

- Communication essentials –spoken and written
- Dress Code and appearance [Grooming] – Do's and Don’ts
- CV preparation – finer aspects, mode of application for jobs
- Interviews
- Written tests
- Group discussion

6. Applications Case study [for maintaining computerized accounts, framing significant accounting policies and presenting financial statements under IFRS for a specific selected industry client]
